Masonic golf gifts for the Lodge scramble

The polo, the quarter-zip, six marked balls and the towel with the Lodge number, for the Brother who is on the course every Saturday the Lodge is dark.

A Lodge that holds a charity scramble has a player gift and a prize table to fill, and there is always one Brother who is easier to find on the course than in the anteroom. These are his pieces. The polo and quarter-zip are embroidered with the square and compasses in gold thread, raised and durable on performance fabric, and they are the layers he will wear on the first tee and into the clubhouse.

The golf balls are a set of six marked with a crisp gold emblem, the easy prize for the closest-to-the-pin. The towel comes plain or, on the personalized version, embroidered with the Lodge name and number, which is the version for a tournament field. The Lodge orders guide explains how to send one message for the whole field.

Planning a Lodge golf day

A Lodge scramble runs on the same three things every year: a player gift, a prize table and a committee that shows up early. The personalized towel is the player gift because it is useful, and it carries the Lodge name. Order one per foursome slot plus a handful of spares for late entries.

For the prize table, the set of six balls splits into two or three prizes, and the plain golf towel makes a fair second place. For the committee, something to wear on the day: the polo and the quarter-zip. If the tournament is in cool weather, the quarter-zip is the piece; in summer, the polo.

Embroidered, not printed

Every apparel piece on this page is embroidered in gold thread. The emblem is stitched, not printed, in raised gold thread. Most pieces are made and shipped in the United States, and each listing shows its processing time before you buy, which matters more for a dated tournament than for any other gift on the site.

Questions

Before you order

How far ahead should a Lodge order towels for a tournament?

Allow the processing time shown on the listing plus shipping, then add two weeks. Embroidered personalized pieces are made one at a time, and a tournament date does not move. Message the shop on Etsy with the date and the quantity before you order.

Can the golf balls be personalized?

Not at present. The balls carry the plain gold square and compasses. The personalized golf towel is the piece that takes the Lodge name and number.

What sizes do the polo and quarter-zip come in?

Both come in men’s sizes shown on the listing size chart. The quarter-zip is cut to layer over a polo, so order his usual size rather than sizing up.

Where are the pieces made and shipped from?

Most pieces are made and shipped in the United States. Each Etsy listing shows the current processing time and the shipping options for your address before you buy.

Is Meet Upon The Level connected to a Grand Lodge?

No. Meet Upon The Level is an independent shop run by a Freemason for Brethren and their families. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Grand Lodge, and every order is placed and paid for through Etsy.
