Choosing for him
For a newly raised Brother. The signet ring is the first ring, and a mentor or the Worshipful Master may present one on the night. How do I find the right signet ring size?
The ring runs in sizes 6, 7 and 8, which are little-finger sizes. Measure the finger he will wear it on with a jeweler’s sizer or a paper strip against a printed ring chart. If he is between sizes, choose the larger one. If his size is outside 6 to 8, choose the bifold or the journal instead.
Are the cufflinks solid gold?
No. They are offered in gold plate over a base metal or in stainless steel, both with the same engraved-line square and compasses. The stainless option is the harder-wearing of the two.
Is the leather real?
